Mrs. April Rucker is honored to begin her second year serving as the head principal of Southaven Intermediate School.  Prior to her current position, she led Lake Cormorant Elementary as the head principal for two years, and before that, she dedicated three years as an assistant principal at Southaven Intermediate School. Mrs. Rucker holds a master's degree in educational leadership from Arkansas State University and a bachelor's degree in education from The University of Mississippi. She is well-rounded in education and wants to invoke true passion for teaching and learning. 

Mrs. Rucker is married to Laveil Rucker, and they have three daughters, Tylah, India, and Zion and three sons Kevin, Isaiah, and Caleb.  She attends Brown Baptist Church in Southaven.  She enjoys spending time with her family and watching her youngest two children play volleyball and football.

My name is Sarah Flanigan and I am honored to serve the students, families, and staff of Southaven Intermediate School. This is my 8th year in education. My undergraduate is from University of Memphis, my Master's Degree is from Arkansas State in Educational Leadership, and I am currently working on my Ph.D in Educational Psychology and Research at the University of Memphis. Being able to 

I attended DeSoto County Schools kindergarten through 12th grade, so being able to work in this county is precious to me. 

My name is Tronica Lawrence and I am honored to be a member of the Southaven Intermediate School administrative team.

I am a graduate of Delta State University, where I received my Bachelor of Business Administration, Master of Art in Teaching, and Specialist in Educational Leadership. I have taught at Greenwood Vocational Center (1 year), Margaret Green Junior High School (10 years) and DeSoto Central High School (8 years).

I married my high school sweetheart, Mallie Lawrence who is also an amazing administrator. We have two children, Brandon and Bryson and are proud members of Brown Baptist Church.

I am honored to join the administrative team at Southaven Intermediate School and eager to contribute to the ongoing success and growth of the school community.

I am a graduate of DeSoto County's Center Hill High School. I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Mississippi and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University. I have previously taught in both first and fourth grade and have most recently served as the intervention specialist and school test coordinator at Overpark Elementary School. I am excited to serve the students, staff, and community at Southaven Intermediate!
