Principal's Corner

Principal

Welcome to Southaven Intermediate School! The faculty and I would like to thank you for letting us be a part of your educational journey.

Upon entering Southaven Intermediate School, you will find a safe learning environment. Our students are encouraged to express themselves creatively as they build strong academic, social and emotional foundations upon which future dreams will become realities.

Here at SIS, you will find a culture where teachers and administrators are working cohesively as a team to meet student needs. Children will develop as critical thinkers--able to form opinions and justify their own thinking. The voice of every child counts and is important in reaching our goals.

We are here to serve our students, parents, and community to the best of our abilities.  The children are always our first priority.  We will work hard to keep them safe as they transform into productive scholars, thus preparing them for successful futures in today's progressing society.

We are excited about the 2016-2017 school year and all the learning opportunities that will blossom throughout the school year.

We encourage you to join our PTO and become an active participant in our numerous activities/opportunities that contribute to your child’s education. We welcome your HELP and SUPPORT at SIS. Your input is valued as we strive to meet our goals.

The faculty and I are looking forward to a successful and productive year with you and your family.
