For the 2018-2019 school year, we are excited to announce the new program used in our SIS Math Lab- Imagine Learning. Every nine days, your child's class visits our Math Lab activity where they are allotted time to work on their individual math needs. There are two sites used- Imagine Learning Math Facts and Imagine Math. Imagine Learning Math Facts is where each student starts first, defeating goblins, dragons, and robots in a video game type program by solving math problems. To complete this program, each student must conquer addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. This program starts with a pretest, and places each individual on the levels they need in order to become fluent. A post test is later given to prove if a student has become fluent or needs more practice. After Imagine Learning Math Facts is completed, students are then able to work on Imagine Math. Imagine Math is a program that allows students to grow based on individual needs. They are given certain problems and games for subject matter that they need a little extra time on. This program provides a fun way to learn more than just the basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. It also allows teachers to follow your child's progress in order to be aware of what may need to be looked at more in the classroom.

The students enjoy coming to math lab to play their math game. Sometimes, they seem to forget it's work. I encourage them to play at home and many of them ask if they can before I even offer the idea. Imagine Learning Math Facts can be played on a computer, tablet, or phone. Below are the links to both sites. For both sites, the username is their lunch number and their password is also their lunch number. You will need a site code, 2801320.
