Sarah Hawke

Education and Experience:

 I graduated from Olive Branch High School in 2018. I then attended Mississippi State University and received my Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education in May of 2022.

While this is my first year teaching, I completed my student teaching here in the 4th grade, as well! I am super excited to be here teaching math and science!

Personal Info:

Hi! My name is Sarah Hawke and I grew up in Kenmore, NY which is a city just outside of Buffalo. I moved down South when I was going into 7th grade and attended Olive Branch schools until I graduated high school. Throughout high school and college I was a part of color guard and now teach color guard at Senatobia High School.

I was always one of those kids who knew I wanted to be a teacher. While my original plan in college actually wasn't teaching, it quickly became what I wanted. I believe that education is super important but I don't feel like students get all they can out of school unless they are in an environment where they feel loved and valued. I plan on creating amazing relationships with my students and engaging them through fun lessons. I want to help change your child's life in a good way and be the reason that they enjoy coming to school.

I currently live with my goldendoodle, Max, and he helped me through college. He is three years old and will be four in March! He is super sweet but stuck to my hip since covid hit when he was just a year old so he was used to having me around all the time. (Yes, I was in the middle of my sophomore year of college when covid hit, so I have experience with the student side of online learning.)
