Meet the Teacher!

About the Teacher

Hello! My name is Miss Isom and I am a 4th grade ELA and Social Studies teacher here at SIS. I recently just graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. This is my very first year teaching and my first year at SIS. I grew up in Hernando, MS and graduated from Magnolia Heights School.A few fun facts about me is that I love to travel to the beach, I love to read, Diet Coke is my favorite drink, and I am a huge Mississippi State fan! I am so excited about this school year and to be a part of the SIS family. This school year is going to be great and I cannot wait to have fun with all of you! Go Chargers!

Welcome to 4th Grade ELA! It is going to be a very fun year, and I cannot wait to see what is in store for us together! I'm excited to start working on your reading and writing skills together.

I believe each and every student is unique. I always do my best to make sure that each unique student is given what they need to succeed. I believe this starts with open communication between teachers and parents. If you ever have any questions, comments, or concerns, please contact me via SchoolStatus or email and I will get back to you during school hours.

Please check your student's folder daily. Folders are where important announcements, fliers, homework, and study materials will be placed each day.
