Math

This week we will finish Chapter 1.  We will be doing review skills dealing with place value, word form, standard form, and expanded form. Rounding will be on the test as well.

Tuesday: Place Value/Rounding Even only

Wednesday: Study for Chapter One Test (Study Guide is being sent home with students.  Please review the study guide to help the students do their best on the test.)

Thursday: Study Multiplication Facts

* Please make sure students are studying their multiplication facts nightly. We will be doing timed test soon.  Students need to know their multiplication facts because so much of the math we do involves multiplication. 

Science

This week in science we will begin discussing the Scientific Process.  Students will learn the steps because every time we do an experiment, we will use the scientific process.

This week we will begin Chapter 1.  We will be doing review skills dealing with place value, word form, standard form, and expanded form.  Students will be given a homework packet on Monday.  It is divided up by days, but each day will be checked. 

* Please make sure students are studying their multiplication facts nightly. We will be doing timed test soon.  Students need to know their multiplication facts because so much of the math we do involves multiplication.

This week in science we will begin discussing the Scientific Process.  Students will learn the steps because every time we do an experiment, we will use the scientific process.

Tests- No chapter tests will be given this week.  There maybe some checkpoint quizzes as we go.  Please review math skills with your child to help prepare them.
